Insure Oklahoma

Did you know in 2008 the Center For Disease Control (CDC) ranked Oklahoma last in the nation in the number of residents without health insurance? Did you also know 1 in every 3 Oklahoman’s under the age of 65 have no health insurance? Another alarming fact is Oklahoma also ranks as one of the 5 least healthy states in the nation. To address this problem, the Oklahoma Legislature charged the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) to develop a program to assist uninsured Oklahomans in obtaining health insurance coverage. The Insure Oklahoma program offers payment assistance to individuals working in small businesses who have no health insurance coverage.
