Councilor Tim Hardin was elected to the City Council for a four-year term in February 2023. This position is Hardin’s first political office.

Tim is retired from Oklahoma State University’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma with both Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Louisville.

Tim and his wife, Amy, moved to Stillwater in 2006. As Tim grew up in Oklahoma, the move was a bit of return home for him. Amy joined Stillwater Pediatrics as a physician. Tim immediately sought out opportunities to be involved in the Stillwater Community. He joined the Stillwater Frontier Rotary Club where he currently serves as President-Elect. He worked with Rotary to obtain a grant to provide bicycle helmets to children in Stillwater. In addition to Rotary, Tim is a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church and volunteers his time to Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center.

His hobbies include pottery, although he considers himself a beginner, and fly fishing.
