Councilor Kevin Clark was born and raised in Alton, IL and is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
He spent most of his career in the recreational boating industry, first in a family-owned dealership, then as a product manager for an aftermarket parts company, and finally in a variety of roles with Mercury Marine, initially at its Wisconsin headquarters. He came to Stillwater in 2002 to lead the customer service organization for the MerCruiser-branded product line. In 2012 Kevin became a full-time financial adviser, and joined Edward Jones in 2013.
Kevin served as an elected member of the Stillwater Board of Education from April 2007 until February 2017. He has served in leadership roles in a variety of organizations, including as an elder or deacon in churches in three states, and in denominational leadership roles while living in Wisconsin.
During 2015-2016 Kevin was an appointed member of the city charter review committee that recommended several charter revisions to the city council. All proposed revisions were subsequently approved by city voters.
Kevin and his wife, Karen, have three adult children and a granddaughter.
