Curbside Recycling for Residential Customers

Read about Cart Care & Instructions here.

Single-Stream Recycling (all residential customers)

  • As a residential customer, you may choose a recycling cart size (35-, 64- or 96-gallon) that best fits your needs.

  • Recycle carts have yellow lids.

  • Place carts curbside by 6 a.m. and five feet from other carts or obstacles to ensure pickup.

  • Crews will pick up your recycled items on the same day as your regular waste collection day, including holidays.

  • All accepted recyclables go into one cart — unsorted. Accepted items include all paper products, cans, cardboard and plastics No. 1 through 7.

  • Glass products do not go in the single-stream recycle carts.

  • Glass may go into the blue trash cart, but it will not be recycled.

Glass Recycling (within city limits only)

  • Crews will pick up your glass recycling on your first regular collection day of each month, even if it is a holiday.

  • Totes or boxes should be placed at the curb before 6 a.m. and five feet from other carts or obstacles to ensure pickup.

  • Totes or boxes must weight less than 25 pounds.

  • Recyclable glass containers must be cleaned out before they are placed in totes.

  • Labels can be left on.

  • Remove metal and plastic lids.

  • Items accepted include the following:

    • Food and beverage bottles, drinking glasses, glass vases and glass cookware without metal pieces in any color are acceptable for collection.

  • Items not accepted include the following:

    • Plastic or metal container lids, ceramics, fluorescent lights or tubes, light bulbs, mirror glass and window glass.
