The Humane Society of Stillwater and Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue are private, non-profit organizations with working partnerships with the City of Stillwater Animal Welfare Division.
The Companion Animal Assistance Program is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the health and welfare of companion animals through spay/neuter assistance and education.
The program provides low cost spay and neuter services on an individual basis. They also work with Stillwater Animal Welfare by helping spay/neuter animals being adopted from its facilities.
If a dog or a cat has not found a home through Animal Welfare’s adoption process, it may transfer the dogs and cats to another long-term care and adoption agency.
The Humane Society of Stillwater, a private, non-profit organization, receives some of these dogs and cats, continuing their veterinary care and upkeep until finding them a new home. It is a volunteer organization that also provides education about keeping pets safe and healthy.
Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue, a private, non-profit organization, saves orphaned, neonatal kittens. These are kittens that have lost their mothers and still need to be bottle fed. Animal Welfare has not had to euthanize a kitten that still needs its mother for many years because of Tiny Paws.
