SUA Project No. 16WG08

What We're Doing

The City of Stillwater and the Stillwater Utilities Authority will be acquiring a new generator for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

A new generator will provide back-up power during an electrical outage, and will increase the reliability of the WTP.

How We're Paying For It

Funds to purchase the generator will come from the City's Water Capital Fund. Staff have also applied for a grant through the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM). If the grant is awarded, a reimbursement of approximately $2 million will be provided by OEM and FEMA.
