What We're Doing

The City of Stillwater and the Stillwater Utilities Authority are working on a project to improve water quality throughout the distribution system. Water Utilities staff currently flush water through hydrants in order to move disinfectant residual through the system. A project is necessary to maximize the disinfectant residual quality and stability in the distribution system.


Anticipated Milestones

  • Anticipated Date (Sampling): Spring 2023
  • Anticipated Date (Water Distribution Model): Fall 2022 
  • Anticipated Date (Report): Spring 2024

Benefits of the Project

The project aims to maximize the disinfectant residual quality and stability in the water distribution system to ensure that ODEQ regulations can be met efficiently and cost effectively.
