The City of Stillwater and Stillwater Utilities Authority are replacing and upsizing the water line along 7th Avenue between Main Street and Lewis Street, and in the alley east of Main Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue.
The existing cast iron pipe is old and deteriorated. Replacement will increase reliability and improve water quality in the area.
Dec. 9, 2020: SUA approved task order with Gose and Associates for design.
Feb. 17, 2021: Staff are currently reviewing the conceptual design submitted by Engineer.
Mar. 31, 2021: Staff provided comments to Engineer.
Jun. 2, 2021: Engineer submitted draft plans which are currently being reviewed by staff.
Jul. 9, 2021: Progress continues on the water and sewer line improvement plans after some potholing work was completed in the alley between Main St. and Lewis St. to determine depth and location of all existing utilities.
Aug. 31, 2021: Engineer submitted 90% plans which are currently being reviewed by staff.
Dec. 1, 2021: Staff have submitted application for construction permit to Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.
Jan. 10, 2022: Staff are currently reviewing the parking and sidewalk design.
