What We're Doing

The City of Stillwater and Stillwater Utilities Authority is repairing or replacing approximately 50 manhole frames and lids in high traffic areas.

Project Benefits

The repairs are being made to improve the driving surface of the roadways in areas along 6th Avenue, Perkins Road and other locations in central Stillwater.

March 15, 2017: Construction is currently underway.

Project Timeline

July 26, 2016: A consultant was hired and the design plans are complete. The next step in the process is advertising the contract package for bids.

December 14, 2016: North Central Construction Co. is under contract for this work. A preconstruction meeting is scheduled for the beginning of January, and construction is anticipated to start shortly after.

February 27, 2017: Construction began on February 21st and will last approximately six months. Rehabilitation work at each manhole is likely to last seven to ten days and will involve street lane closures at the work area. You can view the list of current street closings here.
