What We're Doing

Pavement reconstruction is a strategy that is reserved for streets that have failed beyond any form of remedial rehabilitation. It is also used in conjunction with projects when half or more of the street is going to be removed and replaced, (i.e. in the case of a utility replacement).

Anticipated Milestones

  • Anticipated Date (Design): 5.2019

  • Anticipated Date (Construction): 6.2020

  • Anticipated Date (Completion): 8.2020

Benefits of the Project

One reconstruction project involves Oklahoma State University. They are replacing a section of one of their utilities along the west side of Knoblock, from Miller Street north, and as a result, the pavement in the southbound lanes will be replaced. The northbound lane is in poor condition, so the City of Stillwater is partnering with OSU to replace the northbound lane as part of their project.
