(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / March 4, 2021) – The City of Stillwater Environmental Programs and Stormwater divisions will be holding the Annual Trash-Off event on Saturday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at the Couch Park Pavilion at 1270 E. Alcott Drive. Contact the Environmental Programs division at 405.533.8482 by April 7 to RSVP the number of people in your group. Individuals are also welcome.
The City of Stillwater began coordinating the Annual Trash-Off event in 2006. These events continue to enable citizens to volunteer and clean up trash from areas all around town. During these events, citizens take to the streets and streams to show that “Litter is Not OK”. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. An award for the group that collects the most trash will be presented. This is an opportunity for individuals to receive verified community service hours.
The Environmental Programs division will also provide work gloves, safety vests and trash bags for participants.
