  • a. Discussed of potential impact to Fiscal Year 2019-2020 and Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budgets due to COVID-19 pandemic. No action was taken.

  • b. Received update on COVID-19.

The next City Council and Stillwater Utility Authority meetings are scheduled for Monday, April 20, at 5:30 p.m.

City Council to hold special meeting Monday, discuss COVID-19 & City budget

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / April 10, 2020) – Stillwater City Council will meet over videoconference for a special meeting this Monday, April 13. The City budget as it pertains to COVID-19 will be discussed.

The meeting will be held entirely over Zoom, a videoconference platform. Residents should watch virtually— there will be no meeting on-site at the Stillwater Municipal Building.

General Orders

  • a. Discussion of potential impact to Fiscal Year 2019-2020 and Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budgets due to COVID-19 pandemic. No action will be taken.

  • b. Update on COVID-19.

This meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast as usual. Residents can watch the meeting live on the City's Facebook Page (@CityOfStillwater), AT&T U-verse channel 99, Suddenlink channel 14 and the City of Stillwater’s YouTube Live link at youtube.com/c/CityofStillwaterTV/live.

If you'd like to speak at this meeting, fill out the request to speak form at stillwater.org/requesttospeak. Residents who have requested to speak will be contacted with the appropriate login information needed to participate through videoconference. For those wishing to speak via teleconferencing, please provide a phone number and someone will call you before the public comments portion of the agenda to place you in a queue. Requests to speak must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.
