(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / March 24, 2020) – Stillwater City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority met for their regular meetings on Monday, March 23 over a public videoconference. The next City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority meetings are scheduled for Monday, April 6, at 5:30 p.m. over videoconference. The Stillwater Economic Development Authority meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 6, though it could be cancelled if emergency proclamations are extended. The City will keep residents updated through its news page at stillwater.org/news.

Agenda available for March 23 City Council & SUA meetings, new videoconference format

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / March 20, 2020) – Stillwater City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority will meet for their regularly scheduled meeting this Monday, March 23. Here's what's new: these meetings will now include videoconferencing as a precaution concerning COVID-19.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.

The Council Hearing Room at 723 S. Lewis St. will remain open to the public. Mayor Will Joyce will preside over the meeting from the Council Hearing Room.
