(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Dec. 4, 2019) – On Dec. 1 at approximately 5 a.m., the Stillwater Police Department’s communications unit received a 911 call from a juvenile reporting a domestic disturbance in progress. Stillwater patrol officers responded to the 300 block of South Mockingbird Lane where they found three adults and two children inside the home. Two adults had visible injuries suffered in an apparent fight.
Officers conducted an investigation at the scene and arrested 40-year-old Stillwater resident Earl Ray Talley Jr. for Domestic Abuse in the presence of minor children. Talley commented he had recently been released from the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Correction.
Talley had his previous sentence commuted under House Bill 1269, which amended criminal sentencing laws. Talley has past convictions for crimes such as Domestic Abuse, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Collision Involving Injury, and multiple DUIs. On Dec. 3 2018, Talley was charged in Payne County District Court with Domestic Abuse in the Presence of Minor Children.
