(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Feb. 13, 2017) – City of Stillwater utility customers who pay bills online will notice an updated payment system beginning Tuesday, Feb. 14.
The new customer portal (powered by Paymentus) offers the same ways to pay as the previous site and new options, including electronic check, recurring credit card and on-demand/scheduled bank draft payments. Utility customers will still access their bills via the City’s website at http://stillwater.org.
The portal will ask customers to set up a new user account before they can pay their first bill.
Customers can also select the one-time payment option to pay bills without setting up a user account.
Besides payment options, customers who set up a user account can enter details for multiple utility accounts and forms of payment, and view bill and payment histories.
As part of the Paymentus transition, the City is also introducing a secure interactive voice response (IVR) payment method with 24-hour access for all utility payments made over the phone.
To comply with credit card security measures, the IVR system will handle all credit card payments made over the phone and customer service representatives will no longer take credit card numbers over the phone beginning Feb. 14.
Customers can call Customer Service at 405.742.8245 and select option two to transfer to pay their bill via phone.
