(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Nov. 15, 2016) – City utility customers will notice some changes to their next utility bill beginning Wednesday, Nov. 16. The City of Stillwater is using a new billing format to provide customers more detailed information on their water, electric and/or waste management services.
“We surveyed utility customers about what they liked and what they would like to see on their bills,” Customer Service Manager Dana Mattox said. “A lot of research and planning went into the new design, and we hope it more clearly outlines the rates and services we are providing to our customers.”
Updates to the utility bills include:
Graphs that show previous water and/or electric usage up to the past 12 months.
Charges for services are itemized to show transparency in the rates. This includes customer charges and base rates.
Rates are listed on the bill.
Water usage is now listed in gallons. It was previously listed in hundreds of gallons.
Customers who are mailed bills will receive a brochure explaining how to read the new format with their next utility bill. The brochure is also available online at http://stillwater.org/document-center/detail/id/125.
Watch a video showing the new changes to the bill online at http://stillwater.org/news/view/id/153.
