(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Oct. 24, 2016) – Websites are a vital tool to provide information and represent a community, which is why the City of Stillwater is proud to unveil its redesigned website at http://www.stillwater.org.
“We pride ourselves at the City for being forward thinking and innovative, and we feel this newly designed website is both a vibrant showcase piece for Stillwater and an improved resource for our residents,” said Sherry Fletcher, marketing and public relations director. “We spent a lot of time researching what areas of our website users were visiting the most, and built the new site to address those areas and topics thoroughly and make them as searchable as possible.”
Key features of the updated site include an advanced, user-friendly desktop and mobile design, a sophisticated built-in search engine and pages with search optimized tagging features, an extensive who to contact page with answers and contact information for some of the City’s most common questions and a detailed page dedicated to major infrastructure and development projects across Stillwater.
The City contracted with local developer Juvo Web to plan and develop the new site.
“Our mission was to create a site with a fresh, simplified look that provides robust information and easy navigation for all visitors,” said Derrick Wallace, president of Juvo Web. “Combined with improved search capabilities, an optimized mobile platform and upgrades to areas such as the City’s Report and Track tool, road closings map, document center and employment and bid pages, we feel this new site is a great asset for our city.”
Other advancements include an eNotifications page where residents can subscribe for email updates on certain City topics including council meeting agendas, city news items and upcoming events. Users will also be able to fill out selected city forms online via the new site.
The new website is now live at http://www.stillwater.org.
