New assistant city attorney joins staff

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Sept. 21, 2016) – The City of Stillwater recently welcomed new Assistant City Attorney Kimberly Carnley to its team.

Carnley's duties include assisting the city attorney in providing legal advice to the city council, city administration and other municipal boards and commission.

Prior to joining the City of Stillwater, Carnley worked for the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office as an assistant attorney general in the public utility unit and as an assistant general counsel for the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

“I am excited to serve the City of Stillwater and offer my services to benefit our organization and community,” Carnley said.

A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Carnley earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in sociology at the University of Kansas. While attending KU, she was a member of the NCAA Division I women’s soccer team. Carnley also attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, where she earned a juris doctorate degree in 2013.
