City Fleet superintendent named president of Oklahoma Public Fleet Management Association

Fleet Superintendent John Maehs

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / June 2, 2016) –­ The City of Stillwater congratulates Fleet Superintendent John Maehs, who was named president of the Oklahoma Public Fleet Management Association (OPFMA).
 
Maehs has been employed with the City of Stillwater for 27 years. He manages the City’s fleet of vehicles and equipment and oversees their acquisition, disposition, fueling services, preventive maintenance and repairs.
 
As president of OPFMA, Maehs will conduct board meetings, keep board members informed on all business related to OPFMA and oversee and assist the board and members with the planning of the annual conference. Maehs has been involved with the OPFMA for three years and he previously served as vice president since 2015.
 
The OPFMA was organized in 2013 by a group of fleet management professionals seeking to share their experiences and solve common problems. The association started with a core group of 30 fleet professionals and has grown to over 100 members. The association is comprised of nearly 60 fleet and service organizations. Members come from all across the state of Oklahoma, all sectors of government, schools, universities, businesses and adjoining states.
