Priegel Departs for New Journey

City Manager Norman McNickle Announces Retirement After Four Decades of Service

(Stillwater, OK) – After more than 46 years of service to the City of Stillwater, City Manager Norman McNickle announced Monday that he is retiring. McNickle requested an Executive Session with Mayor Joyce and Council to discuss his decision. He will remain City Manager through approval of the FY24 budget (before June 1, 2023). He also agreed to help with leadership transition of his successor.

Stillwater Water Utilities Temporary Free Chlorine Conversion Notice

STILLWATER, OK — City of Stillwater Water Utilities will begin a temporary free chlorine conversion beginning April 3, 2023. The water treatment plant will stop using chloramines, its usual disinfection method, and switch to free chlorine for 30 days. Customers may notice some changes in odor and taste during the transition.
