(STILLWATER, OKLA. / Jan. 30, 2013) –– The Stillwater Public Library is hosting “Choco-Fest 2013” for young adults on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The event, which is being held for students in grades 6-12, features chocolate eating, activities, and fun.
“Kids love chocolate,” said Chloe Freeman, middle school student and member of the library’s teen advisory board. “When the librarians asked us what kind of activities the library should have, we definitely encouraged them to bring back the chocolate festival. I’m most excited about tasting all the chocolate, but there will be tons of other fun activities involving chocolate.”
Besides sampling chocolate snacks, participants will compete in a candy bar test, chocolate trivia and a candy jar contest. The program will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“For those of us who love chocolate and love books, it is a great time to introduce our friends to all the cool things at the library,” said Freeman. “It’ll be a yummilicious way to spend Valentine’s.”
The Stillwater Public Library is located at 1107 S. Duck St. Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
