International Friendship Committee

International Friendship Committee (IFC) is comprised of individuals and representatives from the Stillwater Sister Cities Program and Oklahoma State University who provide services for OSU international students, including a program that matches OSU international students with Stillwater area families.

IFC Hosts Two Annual Events

• Mayor’s Welcome for OSU International Students is held the beginning of the OSU fall semester. This tradeshow-style event, complete with dinner and entertainment, allows local organizations, churches and businesses to introduce international students to local services and customs, entertainment and activities as well as restaurants and shopping opportunities.
• International Hospitality Day is a day set aside in March for Stillwater residents to host international students. This event is designed to be a mutually beneficial learning experience for Stillwater citizens and the international students. Stillwater Sister Cities Program, Oklahoma State University, and the International Friendship Committee make it possible for Stillwater residents to form lasting relationships by hosting international guests in their homes, businesses and organizations.
