The City of Stillwater Transportation Department is responsible for promoting high-quality, safe and efficient transportation infrastructure within the community. We oversee the design and construction of roadway improvements, identifying safety and functional deficiencies in existing roadway systems, and designing corrective solutions in a timely manner.
The following divisions make up our department:
- Transportation Engineering
This division manages the planning, design, and construction of roads, bridges, sidewalks and other public improvements.
- Streets & Bridge Maintenance
This division is responsible for repair and maintenance of more than 400 lane mile of public roads, 50 miles of sidewalks, and 27 bridges within Stillwater.
- Traffic Operations
This division is responsible for traffic signal operations and maintenance, traffic signs, and roadway markings.

The Transportation Department is located in the Police and Municipal Building at 723 S. Lewis St. in Downtown Stillwater.
Hours of Operations
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed weekends and holidays.
