The Parks and Recreation Department provides a wide range of services, programs and facilities that improve the quality of life for those who live, work and play in Stillwater. We are also celebrating 20 years as member of Tree City USA.

Our mission is to provide residents and visitors with safe, clean and accessible open spaces throughout the city. We are responsible for more than 5,000 acres of parkland and the following amenities: five ball complexes, ten tennis courts, two disc golf courses, four lakes, one swimming pool, 14 playgrounds, and one skate/bmx bike ramp.(See "Parks, Trails & Open Spaces" for locations.)

We manage and operate the following special services centers: Senior Activity Center, City of Stillwater Community Center, Armory Recreation Center and Lakeside Golf Course.
