Requirements:
Technician - Requirements: Associates degree, bachelor’s degree is preferred and a valid driver’s license. Generalist - Requirements: Bachelors’ degree in human resources, industrial relations, business or a related field and a minimum of four years of experience (increasing in complexity) in HR required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and a driving record in accordance with the City’s requirements. IPMA-HR or SHRM certification preferred.
Description:

01-22 Human Resources Technician or Generalist: 

Technician – Perform entry level administrative and technical work related to benefits, employment processes, compensation, equal opportunity matters, supervisory and employment development, legal compliance and performance appraisal. Requirements: Associates degree, bachelor’s degree is preferred and a valid driver’s license. Starting rate: $16.48 - $17.49 per hour DOQ plus comprehensive benefits package.

Generalist – Perform professional duties related to policy and procedure development and administration, employee benefits, compensation, hiring and termination, equal employment opportunity matters, diversity, training and development, performance appraisal/management, employee relations, and position classification. Requirements: Bachelors’ degree in human resources, industrial relations, business or a related field and a minimum of four years of experience (increasing in complexity) in HR required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.  Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and a driving record in accordance with the City’s requirements. IPMA-HR or SHRM certification preferred. Starting salary: $46,092.80 - $48,900.80 DOQ plus comprehensive benefits package.
