06-21 Accountant III, IV or V: The position is responsible for annual preparation of the City financial reports, compliance with financial regulations, and completion of complex analytics. This is a self-directed position requiring the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and rate setting methodology. This position is on a progression with defined pay increases as skills and knowledge are gained through on the job training and certifications are earned. Requirements: Valid driver’s license; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field; minimum of three years increasingly responsible experience in accounting or finance; demonstrated experience in general ledger accounting and reporting; experience with the application of accounting standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting. Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year DOQ plus comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement.
