High school diploma or equivalent, valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, and successful completion of the requirements of the Apprentice Lineman IV position with City of Stillwater, or certification as a journeyman lineman from an approved training facility, or demonstration of abilities and knowledge equal to that level of training.
Description:

100-19 Journeyman Lineman (Electric): Perform the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power systems, including distribution and transmission lines and substation facilities. Position will also perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and tools, respond to service calls concerning power outages and electrical problems, and other duties as assigned. Work schedule: Four ten hour shifts per week, on-call rotation for after-hour outage response duties and may include overtime. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, and successful completion of the requirements of the Apprentice Lineman IV position with City of Stillwater, or certification as a journeyman lineman from an approved training facility, or demonstration of abilities and knowledge equal to that level of training. Starting rate: $33.46 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. A resume and completed City of Stillwater application are required for consideration. Closing date: 9/30/19
