05-19 Entry Maintenance Worker: We are looking for a team member to join our Operations department. This position is part of a progression plan ($13.00 to $20.56 per hour) with defined pay increases as you gain skills and knowledge through on the job training as well as specific certifications and licenses. In this position you will utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform construction, maintenance and repairs of City streets, parks, facilities, water/wastewater systems. Employees in this position will be rotated among various Operations crews.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license (must obtain Oklahoma Driver’s license within thirty days of hire), within six months of hire you must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, Class D Water Operator’s license and a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license. The city will pay for you to get your required licenses and assist you with training. Starting rate: $13.00 per hour with a 10% increase following a successful introductory period. A comprehensive benefits package is available including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement. A completed City of Stillwater application is required for consideration. Closing date: 1/22/19
