- 14-15 Staff Accountant II (Accounting)
The City of Stillwater is currently seeking applicants for two Staff Accountant positions to perform professional accounting work that applies accounting principles and practices to a variety of responsible accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis functions. The Budget and Analysis position will primarily focus on (1) preparation of annual budget document, annual revenue estimates, and related schedules, (2) analysis of budget, utility rates, cash flows, etc. The General Ledger and Reporting position will primarily focus on (1) monitoring and reconciliation of general ledger activity and accounts, (2) preparation of annual schedules, trial balances, and reports. Both positions will complete other special projects as assigned. Requirements: Valid driver’s license, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field, three years increasingly responsible experience in Accounting or Finance, and demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting, general ledger accounting and reporting, and application of accounting standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Experience with municipal accounting laws and procedures, municipal government accounting, utility accounting, and utility rate structures preferred. Salary Range: $44,324.80 – 63,211.20 per year, comprehensive benefits package. Requirements: Valid driver’s license, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field, and three years increasingly responsible experience in Accounting or Finance. - 15-15 Senior Payroll Technician (Accounting)
Process bi-weekly payroll, balancing and verifying time entries, maintain payroll software functions codes, create and maintain employee master files, prepare and reconcile financial data, and reporting W-2s, pension, retirement, etc. Position communicates with employees concerning payroll issues, assist in training in payroll procedures, and remain current on payroll related laws and regulations. Requirements: valid driver’s license, 9 hours of accounting coursework, minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience with municipal union pay, payroll laws, and procedures, and demonstrated ability to apply sound, independent judgment in a variety of decision-making situations. Salary range: 18.93- 27.00 per hour, comprehensive benefits package. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and two years of verifiable payroll processing experience. Salary range: $16.82 - $23.99 per hour. - 07-15 Seasonal Lifeguard/Swim Instructor (Parks and Recreation)
Lifeguard and swim instruction at the municipal pool mid May – mid August. Applicants must be available to work M - F, 9 a.m. - 9:30p.m. and Saturday/Sundays, 12:30 – 10 p.m. Schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week. Requirements: Valid driver’s license, Lifeguard training and CPR/First Aid; WSI preferred. Starting Rate: $9.04 per hour. Closing date: 5/21/15
- 08-15 Seasonal Aquatics Manager (Parks and Recreation)
Responsible for the supervision of aquatic facility employees, programs and all operations of the Municipal swimming pool. Requirements: Valid driver’s license, lifeguard training and CPR/First Aid; WSI preferred. Starting rate: $14.50 per hour. Closing date: Open until filled; initial consideration on 2/19/15
- 09-15 Seasonal Assistant Aquatics Manager (Parks and Recreation)
Responsible for assisting the Aquatics Manager with the supervision of aquatic facility employee, programs and all operations of the Municipal swimming pool. Requirements: Valid driver’s license, current, or ability to obtain, Certified Pool Operators Certification, lifeguard training and CPR/First Aid; WSI preferred. Starting rate: $10.80 per hour.
