- 74-14 Property Evidence Technician
The City of Stillwater is hiring a Property Evidence Technician to be responsible for the administrative and technical duties associated with the maintenance and control of all property and evidence retained by the police department property custody unit. This position will also protect the integrity of evidence throughout the judicial process and oversee supply inventory acquisition, maintenance and distribution. Requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of clerical or inventory management related experience. Each eligible employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Annual leave, Sick leave, Holidays, and Personal Days. Starting rate is $14.94 per hour. Closing Date: 10/23/14
- 79-14 Journeyman/Apprentice Lineman (Electric)
Stillwater Electric Utility is accepting applications for Journeyman and Apprentice Lineman positions. Position performs installations, maintenance and repair of all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment for the City of Stillwater’s Electric Utility. CDL class A driver’s license required within six months of hire. Journeyman/Apprentice Lineman work four ten hour shifts per week, on-call rotation for after-hour outage response duties and may include overtime. In addition to an on-site City fitness training facility, Lineman are provided with all equipment and uniforms. Stillwater is a Public Power Utility that has a 99.9% system reliability. Stillwater Electric Utility is a member of (MESO) Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma which offers various training opportunities to enhance job performance and skills, along with the City Training program for development of professional skills for future advancement. Copies of certifications for Journeyman Lineman should be attached to the completed application. Apprentice starting rate: $17.32; Journeyman starting rate: $29.50, comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, holiday and sick leave. Closing date: 10/23/14
- 81-14 Meter Reader (Customer Service)
The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for a Meter Reader to record usage of water and electric meters, check meters to ensure proper functioning, occasionally connect and disconnect service, update problem conditions and perform minor maintenance of meters. Requirements for this position include a possession of a valid driver's license with knowledge of Stillwater streets preferred. Starting rate is $12.14 per hour. - 82-14 Electrical Engineering Technologist (Electric)
The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for an Electrical Engineering Technologist to perform task and project support, accounting, and management of tasks and programs including a variety of simple and complex technical engineering tasks within the electric utility. Requirements for this position include graduation from an ABET accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology - power emphasis preferred; a minimum of two years engineering experience with an electric utility is preferred. Resume and City application are required for consideration. Salary range: $56,160 - $80,100. - 83-14 Jailer (Police)
The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for the position of Jailer with the Stillwater Police Department to be responsible for the operation of the City jail facilities and the welfare of the prisoners confined therein. Responsibilities include processing prisoners that are brought to jail facilities entering pertinent information into the computer, searching all prisoners that are processed, receive, store and safeguard personal property of prisoners, and other related duties. Must be at least 18 and possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable driving record. High School Diploma or equivalent, resume, City application, and typing test results required for consideration. Starting rate is $13.27 per hour.
