- 86-14 Firefighter I/EMT- A
86-14 Firefighter I/EMT- A: The City of Stillwater is currently accepting applications for Firefighter I/ EMT-A. Candidates applying should be licensed as an EMT- A, EMT-I or EMT-P with one year of verifiable experience in EMS, Firefighting, Public Safety, Emergency Management or Military Service. Candidates applying as an EMT-B must have the ability to become licensed as an EMT-A within 16 months of employment; and should possess certifications as Firefighter 1 & 2, Haz-Mat Operations, NIMS 100,200 and 700, or equivalent training through military service, IFSAC , Pro-Board, or an accredited university. All candidates must successfully complete the CPAT. (CPAT is not required for members currently in the Oklahoma Firefighter Retirement System) Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of the Oklahoma Firefighter Pension and Retirement System and pass an extensive background check prior to employment. The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma is seeking applicants for an Assistant Golf Superintendent to assist the Golf Course Superintendent with directing, supervising, and coordinating the care and professional-level maintenance of Lakeside Golf Course. This position will also ensure that all services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the City of Stillwater. A Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Turf Management or related field of study or two years supervisory experience on a golf course, possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and the ability to get a state pesticide license within ninety days of hire are required for this position. Salary range: $33,966.40 - $48,443.20.. The Stillwater Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officers. Candidates must be 21-45 years of age, in good physical condition, no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, and High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred. Starting base rate is $20.93 to $23.55/hr., comprehensive benefits package including family medical and dental insurance, paid vacation, holiday and sick leave, police pension, college tuition reimbursement and incentive pay. Patrol Officers work four ten hour shifts per week with three days off. Currently, career (non-supervisory) patrol officers top out at $33.92 per hour. The Stillwater Police Department is one of the best equipped and trained departments in the country. We support our personnel by providing the latest in equipment and technology. The Stillwater Police Department is housed in a state of the art facility which was completed in 2001. The building is a four story structure including underground parking, office space, fitness center, central communications center, detention center, and full classroom training facilities. The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for Welder to perform a full range of welding work including structural fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance tasks within in the Operations department. This position will maintain inventory of welding equipment and purchase supplies as necessary, service and maintain welding vehicle, and perform welding for other divisions or departments as requested. Requirements for this position include two years of increasingly responsible welding experience, high school diploma, possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire, a Class B Oklahoma CDL with airbrakes, and possession of structural welding certification. Position range: $14.50- $20.69 per hour. This position must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications and be familiar with diagnosis and repair of computer equipment; A high school diploma or equivalent, three years of responsible computer troubleshooting and maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license is required. - 93-14 Children’s Services Assistant (Library)
The City of Stillwater is hiring a Children’s Services Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Children’s Department in the Stillwater Public Library. Duties will include presenting story time and craft programs to children, planning and implementing children’s programming under supervision, and assisting with the Summer Reading Program. Position will also provide reader’s advisory and reference services and supervise the children’s area, create and implement publicity for activities and programs, type, file, and shelve material accurately. Requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and education and/or equivalent experience working with children. Library experience preferred. Approximately 20 hours per week. Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 9a.m. – 6p.m., Sunday 1p.m. – 5p.m., with some additional hours in June and July. Starting rate is $9.88 per hour. Closing Date: 11/26/14
