- 60-14 Engineering Technician (Water Utilities)
The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for Engineering Technician for the Water Utilities Department. This role will assist in the performance of engineering, planning, mapping, record keeping, and surveying duties for the City of Stillwater. This position is part of an Engineering Technician progression classification that fills the position at the level commensurate with candidate’s education, training and experience. Minimum experience: two years of related engineering and/or surveying skills; demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD or other common CAD software; and experience with ESRI GIS software is preferred. Salary range: $16.82 - $27.00/hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma is seeking applicants for an Assistant Golf Superintendent. This position will assist the Golf Course Superintendent with directing, supervising, and coordinating the care and professional-level maintenance of Lakeside Golf Course. Position will also ensure that all services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the City of Stillwater. A Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Turf Management or related field of study or two years supervisory experience on a golf course, a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, and the ability to get a state pesticide license within ninety days of hire are required for this position. The City of Stillwater is hiring an Electrical Engineering Technologist to perform task and project support, accounting, and management of tasks and programs including a variety of simple and complex technical engineering tasks within the electric utility. Requirements: Graduation from an ABET accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology - power emphasis preferred; a minimum of two years engineering experience with an electric utility is preferred. The City of Stillwater is hiring a Maintenance Worker I to utilize a variety of manual labor, tools, light and heavy equipment to perform both routine and heavy physical work in the construction, maintenance and repair of City water and utility systems Must have the strength to pull, lift or push a 50-pound object on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an infrequent basis. Requirements: Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred. Ability to obtain a "D" Water and/or Wastewater Operators License and a CDL License with airbrake certification within six months of hire date. Position Range: $12.50- $17.84 per hour. Stillwater, Oklahoma, a growing, confident and energetic university city with community values, has an opening for Planning Manager. This position is head of the Planning & Grants division of the Development Services Department and will plan, organize, and oversee the planning function of the City. Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, political science, public administration or related field and ten years increasingly responsible experience in municipal government, including five years of administrative and supervisor responsibility; or any equivalent combination of experience and training and AICP certification preferred. Perform switchboard duties and provide general clerical support for the City of Stillwater. Answer and transfer all incoming telephone calls, answer questions, and direct visitors to appropriate departments. High school diploma/GED required, clerical experience preferred. Approximately 22.5 hours/week; M-F 8:00a.m.- 12:30p.m. Starting rate is $10.80/hour. Closing date: 09/25/14
