- 53-15 Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator (Water Utilities)
Perform a variety of tasks in the operational duties of the Wastewater Treatment Plant including regular inspections, minor maintenance and custodial duties of plant and related wastewater equipment and 15 satellite lift stations throughout Stillwater. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license. Must obtain Oklahoma license within thirty days of hire and a valid Class D Water/Wastewater Operator’s license within one year of hire. One year technical training or schooling, or two years directly related job experience, or one year of on-the-job experience is preferred. Starting rate: $13.67 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits plan. Closing Date: 7/30/15
- 56-15 Journeyman Lineman Entry (Electric)
Perform the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power systems, including distribution and transmission lines and substation facilities. Position will also perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and tools, respond to service calls concerning power outages and electrical problems, and other duties as assigned. Work schedule: four ten hour shifts per week, on-call rotation for after-hour outage response duties and may include overtime. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, and successful completion of the requirements of the Apprentice Lineman IV position with City of Stillwater, or certification as a journeyman lineman from an approved training facility, or demonstration of abilities and knowledge equal to that level of training. Starting rate: $32.17 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. Completed City of Stillwater application required for consideration. The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma seeks a highly qualified public finance executive to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is a member of the City Manager’s executive team and is responsible for the City’s strategic and day-to-day public finance operations. This includes but is not limited to, the preparation of monthly financial reports that provide coherent, timely, and critical information for the mayor and city council as well as the city’s department heads. The CFO is a collaborative participant in a wide variety of strategic initiatives for the City, including the analysis of economic development proposals, assistance with the development of the annual budget, and the preparation of the annual audit. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration; Master’s degree in accounting, public finance, business, or public administration preferred; five years of progressively responsible experience in financial management and accounting in a government environment, preferably municipal government; excellence in organization management with the ability to coach senior level staff; ability develop and implement program strategies; and the ability to effectively present information at public meetings.
