- 16-14 Dispatcher I (Police)
The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for the position of Dispatcher I with the Stillwater Police Department. You will receive training in advanced communication and computer technologies, and work in a fast paced environment where you will be challenged to continually learn and develop your skills . Your main responsibility will be to facilitate communication between citizens and multi-agency emergency personnel. Minimum requirements - High School Diploma or GED. - 17-14 Firefighter I/EMT-A
Firefighter I/EMT- A: The City of Stillwater is currently accepting applications for Firefighter I/ EMT-A. Candidates applying should be licensed as an EMT- A, EMT-I or EMT-P with one year of verifiable experience in EMS, Firefighting, Public Safety, Emergency Management or Military Service. Candidates applying as an EMT-B must have the ability to become licensed as an EMT-A within 16 months of employment; and should possess certifications as Firefighter 1 & 2, Haz-Mat Operations, NIMS 100,200 and 700, or equivalent training through military service, IFSAC , Pro-Board, or an accredited university. All candidates must successfully complete the CPAT. (CPAT is not required for members currently in the Oklahoma Firefighter Retirement System) Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of the Oklahoma Firefighter Pension and Retirement System and pass an extensive background check prior to employment. Provide maintenance services to the Stillwater Regional Airport facilities and grounds. Perform a variety of duties related to the care, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of the Airport complex. Assist with aircraft rescue firefighting services, FAR 139 inspections, and various maintenance and operations duties. Position does require working some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. - 10-14 Seasonal Concessions Attendant/Swim Aide
City of Stillwater is now accepting applications for Concessions Attendant/Swim Aid. This position is responsible for assisting with swim lessons M-F, 9:30am-12pm and from 6-7pm. Other responsibilities include working in the admissions area during open swim times and selling concessions at the municipal pool. Basic rescue and lifesaving certification is preferred. CPR required. Work hours will vary and include afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Applicants must be 16 years of age. Pay begins at $7.35/hr. Closing date: 05/02/14
- 11-14 LIFEGUARD/SWIM INSTRUCTOR
City of Stillwater is accepting Lifeguard/Swim Instructor applications for the municipal pool. This position is responsible for teaching swimming and water safety skills to children and adults. Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: performing duties and responsibilities consistent with those of a lifeguard, administering first aid, artificial respiration and CPR, maintenance and cleaning, and accurate record keeping. Lifeguard training and CPR/First Aid required. WSI preferred. Applicants must be 18 years of age and able to work M-F 9am-9:30pm and Saturdays/Sundays 12:30-10pm. Pay begins at $9.04/hr.
