  • 55-14 Dispatcher I (Police)

    The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma is seeking applicants for the position of Dispatcher I with the Stillwater Police Department. You will receive training in advanced communication and computer technologies, and work in a fast paced environment where you will be challenged to continually learn and develop your skills . Your main responsibility will be to facilitate communication between citizens and multi-agency emergency personnel. Minimum requirements - High School Diploma or GED. Salary range is $17.32-$24.71/hr., comprehensive benefits package including Medical and Dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and 401K retirement plan. Closing date: 9/3/14

  • 56-14 Jailer (Stillwater Police)

    The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma is seeking applicants for the position of Jailer with the Stillwater Police Department. Employees in this position are responsible for the operation of the City jail facilities and the welfare of the prisoners confined therein. Responsibilities include processing prisoners that are brought to jail facilities entering pertinent information into the computer, searching all prisoners that are processed, receive, store and safeguard personal property of prisoners, and other related duties. Must be at least 18 and possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable driving record, High School Diploma or equivalent. Starting salary is $13.27/hr., comprehensive benefits package includes Medical and Dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and 401K retirement plan.   • 60-14 Engineering Technician (Water Utilities)

    The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for Engineering Technician for the Water Utilities Department. This role will assist in the performance of engineering, planning, mapping, record keeping, and surveying duties for the City of Stillwater. This position is part of an Engineering Technician progression classification that fills the position at the level commensurate with candidate’s education, training and experience. Minimum experience: two years of related engineering and/or surveying skills; demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD or other common CAD software; and experience with ESRI GIS software is preferred. Salary range: $16.82 - $27.00/hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.     The City of Stillwater is now hiring an Equipment Operator I to operate and maintain side load or rear load trucks to service commercial or residential routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables along designated collection routes. Valid, Class B Oklahoma CDL with appropriate driving record is required. Position Range: $13.27-$18.93 per hour.     The City of Stillwater is now hiring a Waste Management Worker to operate and maintain side load or rear load trucks to service commercial or residential routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables along designated collection routes. Valid driver’s license is required. This position is a temporary position. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a valid, Class B CDL within 3 months of hire. Upon demonstration of positive work ethic and Class B license, the temporary employee will be moved into the Equipment Operator I position. Position Range: $12.14-$17.32 per hour.   • 62-14 Maintenance Worker I/II (Operations)

    The City of Stillwater is seeking applicants for Maintenance Worker I or II. This position will utilize a variety of manual labor, tools, light and heavy equipment to perform both routine and heavy physical work in the construction, maintenance and repair of City streets, parks and facilities. Duties will primarily be carried out within the Field Services division, with opportunities to perform tasks within any of the divisions of the Operations department, including Waste Management and Water Utilities. Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred. Applicant must have the ability to obtain Class B CDL with airbrakes within 3 months of hire. Position range: $11.12-$17.84 per hour.   • 63-14 Records Management Technician (Police)

    The City of Stillwater is now hiring a Records Management Technician to perform a wide variety of responsible clerical duties related to the effective maintenance of Police Department records. Position will enter, update and maintain information in the department’s computer database; sort, file, copy and distribute documents; and type, record, and scan a variety of materials. Other duties will include assisting department personnel and the public in person and by phone, providing general information regarding department policies, procedures and regulations, and assisting, occasionally, with prisoner searches. High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized clerical training, minimum one (1) year of responsible record keeping experience, and a valid driver`s license are required. Official typing test results indicating a minimum of 40 cwpm required with application. Tests can be scheduled and taken at the Stillwater Workforce Center by calling (405) 624-1450. Each eligible employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Annual leave, Sick leave, Holidays, and Personal Days. Starting rate is $14.08 per hour. Closing date: 09/11/14
