We are looking for a team member to join our Water Utilities and Public Works department. This position is part of a progression plan ($13.00 to $20.56 per hour) with defined pay increases as you gain skills and knowledge through on the job training as well as specific certifications and licenses. In this position you will utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform construction, maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems, City streets, parks, facilities.

22-21 Meter Reader

23-21 Animal Welfare Officer

Summary:
Enforce city, state, and federal ordinances and laws governing animals, including investigation and taking appropriate action in cases of suspicion of rabies, animal bites, and cruelty. Position also inducts, captures, cares for and disposes of animals and issues warnings and citations or other appropriate charges for violations. Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. and on-call as needed.

25-21 Utility Billing Clerk

Summary:
Assist customers in all phases of utility account maintenance, installation, deposit, payments, changes, inquiries, correspondence, billing problems, termination, etc., in person, or by telephone, mail or internet. Receive and prepare for deposit monies from other departments within the City and balance the cash drawer. This position reports directly to the Utility & Billing Services Supervisor.

26-21 Mechanic

Utilize a variety of tools, equipment and knowledge to perform minor and major repairs to city vehicles and equipment, including cars, light duty trucks, heavy duty line trucks, sanitation trucks and heavy equipment.
