  • You can report a street light outage using our Assistance Request System or by calling 742-8230.
  • Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) - An energy saving alternative to standard (incandescent) light bulbs, CFLs use less wattage to give you the same lighting power as a larger wattage standard bulb.
  • Lightning kills nearly one hundred people every year in the United States and injures hundreds of others. When you first notice an upcoming storm, remember that lightning usually precedes rain. Go to the nearest building or car and stay inside until the storm has passed. Do not wait until the storm begins to take cover. Protect yourself and your family by moving to a safe place. Stay in the safe place until signs of lightning and thunder have been past for thirty minutes.

We recommend electricity - if you heat and cool your home electrically you don't have to worry about things like gas flames, pilot lights, carbon monoxide, and vents through your roofs that require maintenance and can be the source of leaks.

A new electric water heater can add to a home's comfort, safety and convenience- and now we’ll help pay for it!

A new electric heat pump can add to a home's comfort, safety, convenience, and resale value - and now we'll help pay for it whether this is the original HVAC unit installed in a new home or a replacement HVAC system being installed in an existing residence. In addition, a heat pump may qualify you for a lower residential electric rate.

Rebates may be up to $250!!

And here’s the fine print—

  • You must be a Stillwater Electric Utility customer.
  • Water heaters may be a single family home or a multi unit site.
  • Rebate program is effective April 1, 2002.
  • You must have receipts and a City inspection.
