Did You Know?

  • You can report a street light outage using our Assistance Request System or by calling 742-8230.
  • Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) - An energy saving alternative to standard (incandescent) light bulbs, CFLs use less wattage to give you the same lighting power as a larger wattage standard bulb.
  • Lightning kills nearly one hundred people every year in the United States and injures hundreds of others. When you first notice an upcoming storm, remember that lightning usually precedes rain. Go to the nearest building or car and stay inside until the storm has passed. Do not wait until the storm begins to take cover. Protect yourself and your family by moving to a safe place. Stay in the safe place until signs of lightning and thunder have been past for thirty minutes.
  • light poleThe light poles along Boomer Lake walking trail are now numbered to assist pedestrians when reporting non-working lights. Call 742-8230 or use the online Assistance Request System and note the pole number of the non-working trail light.

Establish Service

  • For all new customers and customers that have not had service in the previous 2 years, service must be established in person at City Hall, 723 S. Lewis. Hours are 8 AM - 5 PM Monday thru Friday. Service can be turned on the same day.
  • For existing customers and customers that have had service in their name in the previous 2 years, service may be established or moved by calling 405-742-8250. Based on your past payment history, a deposit may be required.
  • You must be 18 and have a valid, government issued picture I.D.
  • There is a $25 processing fee which is added to the first bill

Deposits

  • A security deposit may be required. The amount of your deposit may be from $0 to $200 based on your payment history and/or information obtained from your credit report.
  • Deposits on accounts with at least 18 months of good payment history will be refunded. Good payment history will be considered as having no more than (2) late payments or any disconnection notice in the last 18 months.
  • Once a deposit has been returned due to good payment history, a new deposit may be required on any account that subsequently exceeds two or more late payments, receives a disconnection notice, or is turned off for non-payment within any following 18 month period.
