(STILLWATER, OKLA. / Oct. 7, 2013) — Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the 23rd Annual Halloween Festival scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29 on Main Street between 7th and 10th Avenues from 5 to 8 p.m.

Organized and presented by the City of Stillwater, the festival will include a food drive, traditional children’s games, inflatables, trick-or-treating and the annual costume contest.

This year's theme is the Wizard of Oz, so find your flying monkey suits, slip on your ruby slippers and fly in on your broom stick. This year, the Yellow Brick Road leads to Downtown Stillwater.

Recreation Supervisor Rachel Palmer said, “The Halloween Festival is a great opportunity for the entire family to come out and have a spooky good time.”

Once again the festival is hosting a food drive. “We are asking residents to bring nonperishable food items for donation as their admission. It’s a great way to help the community,” Palmer said.

Area businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring the Halloween Festival or hosting a non-soliciting booth may contact Palmer for details.
