Ghostly Tales, Bigfoot Sightings , Alien Abductions: Hear about 'Mysterious Oklahoma' Aug 4 @ Stillwater Public Library

(STILLWATER, OKLA. / June 29, 2011) – Oklahoma’s mysterious past contains everything from ghostly tales and spook lights to alien abductions and Bigfoot sightings. Thursday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m., author David Farris will visit the Stillwater Public Library to discuss the best of the state’s eerie occurrences.
“I believe everyone loves a good ghost story,” said Farris. “Some of these ghostly tales are the best and scariest I’ve ever head.”
Farris, an Oklahoma native, began collecting these stories in the early nineties. He published many of them in two of his books, “Mysterious Oklahoma” and “More Mysterious Oklahoma.” He is also the author of “Oklahoma Outlaw Tales.” All three books are typically local bestsellers for national bookstore chains. He has shared his cache of stories at events like the Red Dirt Book Festival and the International UFO Museum at Roswell, N.M.
Following the presentation, Farris will sign copies of his book. All three will be available for purchase.
The program is free and open to the public. Library programs are co-sponsored by Friends of the Library and KOSU.
