E-reader assistance at Stillwater Public Library Jan. 5
(STILLWATER, OKLA. / Dec. 19, 2011) –E-readers will be a hot gift this year, but many of the people receiving the devices may not know how to use them with the Stillwater Public Library’s online eBook service. On Thurs., Jan. 5, from 1-5 p.m., the library will host a drop-in open house to show eBook readers how to use Overdrive, the free library service.
“Overdrive is our community’s online eBook service,” said Lynda Reynolds, library director. “We now have approximately five thousand eBooks available to anyone who has a Stillwater Public Library card.”
Librarians will be available to work with participants one on one to go over topics such as choosing a book, checking out material, downloading books to the participants’ e-readers and more. Participants should bring their e-reader and their library card. Anyone without a library card should apply for one before the open house. Library cards are free for people who live, work or go to school in Payne County.
