Spring Fling donation event @ the library rescheduled for May 16
local organizer and Stillwater Public Library turn clutter into donations to local charities
(STILLWATER, OKLA. / May 7 , 2009) –– The 2nd annual Spring Fling donation event has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in the library’s north parking lot at 1107 S. Duck St. If bad weather looks possible, the library will announce a decision on cancellation by noon May 15.
Spring Fling gives local residents a chance to donate their clutter to benefit local charities. Local non-profit organizations will be present to accept donations of used clothing, household goods, toys, books and most other items.
“Everyone who didn’t get to clean out their clutter last week now has a new chance to get things together to donate to Stillwater citizen’s in need,” said Shannon Cowan, event coordinator.
Residents are invited to drive through the library parking lot where volunteers will unload donated items into the trucks of the participating non-profit organizations. They may designate to which organization their donations should go, or event organizers will assist in distributing items in a fair manner to benefit all of the organizations.
