(STILLWATER, OKLA)-- Art lovers are invited to join the Friends of the Multi Arts Center and the OSU Emeriti on a field trip to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art to see the "Roman Art from the Louvre."
The field trip is Tuesday, Sept. 9 and the cost is $35 per person, which includes coach transportation on OSU’s Big Orange Bus (BOB) and the museum admission fee. BOB will leave Stillwater at 9 a.m. from the OSU Library Annex (1210 N Boomer Road) and return by 5 p.m. Lunch is on your own.

The Roman art exhibit features 184 masterworks that highlight the diversity of artistic production that characterizes Roman Art. These exceptional pieces date from the early first century B.C. to the sixth century A.D. Included are a variety of sculptures, sarcophage, marble busts and reliefs, bronze and terracotta statuettes and implements, jewelry, glass and metal cups and vessels, mosaics, fresco paintings and a cache of more than one hundred silver pieces from Pompeii.
