When service returns to your area on Thursday, May 29, customers may place up to ten items (trash cans, bags, boxes) for curb-side pick up, which is double the normal limit. Waste Management Division will provide Commercial Service (Dumpster) on Memorial Day.
5-27-08: The City of Stillwater is rollin' out the welcome wagon for OSU's new President and First Lady, V. Burns and Ann Hargis, Tuesday, May 27 at the City of Stillwater Community Center from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The reception, which is opened to all area residents, will be hosted by Mayor Roger L. McMillian and the Stillwater City Council and the Community Singers' Barbershop Quartet is scheduled to perform.

Explore Stillwater's past with a guided walking tour presented by the Stillwater Public Library

(STILLWATER, OKLA) — Enjoy a "Historic Walking Tour of Downtown Stillwater" presented by the Stillwater Public Library Saturday, May 17 at three different times, 9, 10 and 11 am.

"While books, microfilm, and city directories are important resources for local history, we wanted to allow people to hear and see Downtown Stillwater in a new light," said Librarian Andrea Kane.

The tours, which will begin and end at the library, will include information about the history of Stillwater and the stories behind many of its older buildings.

Participates should allow about two hours for two-mile walk and to expect frequent stops along the way.

Reservations are required and space is limit. To sign up, those interested should stop by the Library's Help Desk, call (405) 372-3633, ext. 106, or e-mail askalibrarian@stillwater.org.

The walking tour, which is presented by the Stillwater Public Library and sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is free and open to the public.
